Leo Burnett Sydney is adding Twinings to its client list after picking up the creative work for the brand.

The win will see Leo Burnett Sydney tasked with the strategic development of the Twinings brand, along with creative communications and activation strategies.

Twinings marketing director Gavin Vandeligt says: “We wanted an agency partner who could challenge us and evolve our communications platform to continue the strong growth momentum.”

The tea brand previously worked with McCann but has been quiet of late, with its last major campaign launching in 2012.

That campaign focused Twinings towards women, aiming to make tea drinking a regular habit. Before that, it used Nigella Lawson to launch its “Australian blend” tea with Naked Communications.
