AdNews is excited to announce that founder, CEO, and chief behavioural scientist, Dr John Pickering, from Brisbane-based Behaviour Innovation will be our keynote speaker for AdNews Live: Brisbane Amplified.

Behaviour Innovation is a Brisbane-based behavioural science company that specialises in the design, delivery and evaluation of behaviour change programs, including one of Australia’s largest environmental behaviour change initiatives, Project Cane Changer, which involves the modification of farming practices in order to improve water quality entering the Great Barrier Reef.

Dr Pickering was recently appointed to the Queensland Government’s Health and Wellbeing Advisory Board to oversee the development of behavioural change strategies for improving health outcomes across the State, and has published extensively in the areas of behaviour change, psychology, sustainability and innovation.

AdNews Live: Brisbane Amplified is a half-day event, co-curated with the Brisbane Advertising Association, that will seek to inform, educate and entertain. Taking place October 29 at Inchcolm's Ovolo Hotel, it will deliver on the topics and issues that matter most to you, we will bring together the most accomplished local and nationwide speakers to engage our delegates. The event will also serve as a best-in-show for Brisbane campaigns, while networking will close the day's formalities during post-event drinks.

Other sessions Include:

Exclusive Research Presentation – AdNews is partnering with brand strategists and researchers The Lab Strategy to bring you something previously unseen. Stay tuned for more!

Panel: Brisbane’s Coming Of Age - Brisbane was referred to as a tier-2 market in the past. This tag has finally been shaken off. But, is there an argument that agency holding groups could restructure their workforces to make greater use of Brisbane talent? And could this help stem the mid-tier exodus of talent that tends to happen in QLD? How is the local business combating this and what needs to be done to promote flexible workforces across the whole country?

The Brisbane Creative Showcase - AdNews is in the process of locking down a special content presentation with VMLY&R and BADC that will look back on the work that has come out of Brisbane. We’ve got the city working on something never before seen, and something that will show the direction the ambitious and highly-creative city is moving in.

Panel: how does an agency embrace martech? How do you cope when the CMO you work for is running Adobe, Google, Salesforce, Marketo and you are having to strategise around those? This poses tricky problems for media and creative agencies alike. We'll bring together several local and interstate names to discuss how this is best tackled.

Fireside chat: AdNews senior journalist Josh McDonnell will close proceedings, interviewing a big name from the world of advertising/marketing. More information on that to come soon.

Tickets for the event are priced at $129.00 until September 13, after which point they will increase to $149.

AdNews would like to thank our incredible partners for this event: co-curators Brisbane Advertising Association; supporting partners Publicis Groupe, Seven West Media, SCA and VMLY&R, associate partners Brand IQ and Spot X. Friends of AdNews, Wrappt, will be in the building assisting our journos with our video needs.

Get in early for $129.00 tickets. See you there, Brisbane.
