QBE has moved its $15 million media account from Carat to Havas, with the agency also beating ZenithOptimedia in the final showdown.

QBE first pitched the account back in April, with independent shops Match Media and The Media Store in an initial shortlist of five.

However, AdNews this morning understands that Havas has won the account beating out incumbent Carat and fellow challenger ZenithOptimedia.

Agencies originaly put in documentation on the pitch in the middle of April.

While the account has a main media spend of about $12 million, its digital is thought to bring that total up to $15 million.

Havas declined to comment when contacted this morning, while QBE could not be reached for comment.
