Havas Media has appointed Dentsu's John Lynch into the new role of national investment director and promoted James Zipeure to chief operating officer.
At Dentsu Aegis Network, Lynch was group investment director for OOH and print and has previously held senior commercial roles at Posterscope, Carat and ZenithOptimendia.
He will be responsible for evolving Havas Media's commercial capabilities across media and non-media client product portfolio, including technology services, content and programmatic. The role will see him work across the group's media brands - Havas Media, Havas Sports and Entertainment and Arena Media.
Lynch will report into Zipeure, who also steps into a newly-created role. Zipeure's remit will cover operational and commercial day-to-day delivery across the Havas Media Group, as well as an expanding role across the wider Havas Village.
In the past two years, Zipeure helped define a new approach for media investment strategy and delivery at the agency, pioneering a new commercial model for clients.
He has been a driving force behind an internal restructure that set up divisions in programmatic, social, mobile, performance, data and content along with the recently launched Havas Sports and Entertainment division.
“As one of the most sought after directors in market it’s fantastic to have him on board,” Zipeure says. “John and I will be working closely in the coming months as we continue to find new ways of unlocking greater opportunities for existing and new clients.”
