GPY&R Sydney has promoted executive director Sasha Firth to MD following the departure of Andrew Dowling.

Firth has been with the business for several years across GPY&R and digital agency VML. She previously worked at Iris Worldwide, BMF and The Campaign Palace.

She replaces previous Y&R Group Sydney MD Andrew Dowling who has resigned from the business and will be leaving the company.

Y&R Group ANZ CEO, Phil McDonald, says: "Sasha is a highly regarded strategic business partner with a proven ability to effectively collaborate and change business outcomes for our clients. She adds great energy to our team’s culture in Sydney and is a trusted partner for her clients. I’ve worked with her closely for a while now and am delighted to see her step into the role, leading GPY&R Sydney.”

It follows the appointment of McDonald as GPY&R's CEO for Australia and New Zealand in January this year.
