Get ready to 'ooh' with the Locus Award winners

By AdNews | 3 October 2014

There is a reason the acronym for Out of Home advertising is 'OOH' instead of 'OH' like any purveyor of the English language would expect. It's because that's the sound an audience makes when they see outdoor advertising done well.

Now, if you want to have a whole bucket full of 'oohs' and 'ahhs' served your way, take a peek below at some of the most creative OOH campaigns of the year with the full list of finalists and winners for the 2014 Locus Awards. Or – better yet- get all the juicy details of the award winning work in the latest copy of AdNews, avaliable now. Subscribe in print or get today's issue on the iPad now.

Luke Chess, chairman of the judging panel said: “The second year of anything – an agency, a TV series, hey, even a marriage – can be make or break. With the novelty worn off, what’s left is the bedrock on which longevity can be built. Happily, the standard of entries in this, the second year of the Locus Awards, proves that the art of outdoor communication is still thriving in Australia. The bedrock is solid. The overall standard was excellent, and the pieces we ultimately awarded could pick up (and in many cases have picked up) at practically any show around the world.”
