Foxtel has restructured its sales and marketing operations across the business, as the pay-TV provider seeks closer alignment between the Foxtel and Fox Sports teams.

Foxtel confirmed a series of changes to its operating model in recent moths, resulting in a number of structural changes and leadership appointments for sales, creative, brand, media and planning.

Each new leadership appointment will report in directly to Foxtel's chief marketing and sales officer Kieren Cooney.

Retail and commercial sales have been combined under one dedicated sales division led by Steve O’Connor, chief revenue officer (retail and commercial).

Previously, the company had three creative teams servicing the Foxtel Group - Felix, FNA Creative and Fox Sports Creative.

Foxtel says that while all of these teams have been "doing excellent work", it has taken the opportunity to unify the team and create greater brand consistency across the Foxtel Group.

All creative services teams are now working under a single structure with Guy Sawrey-Cookson in the role of group creative director and Mat Harrington as general manager, creative services.

“We have a very talented team across sales and marketing. The recent structural changes and leadership appointments now set us up to work as a unified team across the Foxtel Group to improve the customer experience and deliver on our business priorities," Cooney says.

Arianna Saita, previously at senior vice president marketing at Sky Deutschland, has been at Foxtel since earlier this year and has been leading the marketing and brand function in an acting capacity. Saita has now been appointed on a permanent basis.

Foxtel's planning and operations and media teams have been operating as one team for some time and Shaun Kesby’s leadership role as director, planning and media has been made permanent.

The changes also follow a series of high-profile exits by some of the company's top marketers including, director, content marketing, Jo McAlister,  group director, marketing, John Casey, advertising sales and brand partnerships GM Andrew Mulready, head of sport marketing Adam Ballesty and CMO Andy Lark.

Carly Loder, the chief sales and marketing officer at Foxtel’s Kayo also departed in July this year.
