Foxtel lampoons industry in Wentworth themed spoof but won't share it

Foxtel kicked off its upfronts with an inspired spoof of its Wentworth prison drama, lampooning the media industry, programmatic, branded content, targeting and all the other buzzwords we use day in and day out. But it won't let us share it. TV Tonight is calling for a petition to get Foxtel to loosen up.

Media including AdNews, Mumbrella and TV Tonight have all tried and failed to get the clips released but TV Tonight is fighting back, calling for a petition.

The video spoofed the industry and its relentless buzzwords and jargon, using the characters to push Foxtel to the prison governor, and name checked as many media agencies as possible. Giving particular attention to its own media agency – ZenithOptimedia.

The room was in stitches, but earlier this morning, after requesting the clips, AdNews was told Foxtel couldn’t share it because it doesn't “have the necessary clearances to release the video”.

Come on Foxtel...
