Economist Nerida Conisbee to deliver keynote at Melbourne Summit

By AdNews | 27 May 2019

Nerida Conisbee, chief economist at REA Group, will deliver the opening keynote speech at this year's AdNews Melbourne Summit on August 8 at the city's Arts Centre.

In what will be a first for the Summit, Nerida will examine the strength of the advertising and media industries in light of a potential economic downturn, driven in part by a softening housing market.

Nerida will also examine the fortunes of digital businesses and how they are placed to weather economic instability in Australia, in keeping with this year's theme: "surviving change".

Appearing every fortnight on ABC News Breakfast, every Monday night on Your Money, she also writes a fortnightly column for The Australian covering off real estate issues impacting Australia and is the property commentator for Investsmart.

This year's Summit continues with the single-strand, editorially-curated format that has made the events, now in their third year, so successful. We are delighted to host an event that focuses on local issues that affect the day-to-day working practices of those in our industry.

Early Bird tickets are available now, priced at $610.00 per person. Tickets can be purchased here.

The full program, which is almost booked, is available here. One more announcement is expected next week.
