Former News Corp business development director Adam Natiq has been appointed to lead the global expansion efforts of Sydney-based agency DIJGTAL.

The agency announced plans to open an office in Vancouver, Canada, in 2020.

DIJGTAL joint managing partner and co-founder Mark Nickson says Natiq's appointment is testament to the "seriousness" of the agency's growth strategy and 2020 goals.

"Adam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that I know will be welcomed by the local Canucks, and I’m confident he’ll forge out a new and exciting pathway for DIJGTAL across both Canada and the US," Nickson says.

Natiq previously worked with the agency as a consultant but "fell in love" with the agency's culture and approach.

"This organisation’s approach to creating success for their partners is unlike any other I’ve seen," Natiq says.

"The mutual trust created in this building was a powerful motivator for me to join, and I'm looking forward to replicating that DNA and success in North America.”

Natiq brings more than 14 years of experience working in sales, advertising and business development in national and regional roles.

He has more than 12 years of experience in digital media and has worked with national and global brands including Google, Uber, Bupa, GSK, ING Direct, TAB, Youi and Subaru.

DIJGTAL joint managing partner and co-founder Ross Churchill says the agency is fortunate to bring Natiq on board.

"His many years in the agency and corporate world will support this significant and challenging task," Churchill says.

"With him on the team, I know we’re putting our best foot forward to deliver a true DIJGTAL agency experience in Vancouver.”
