Dentsu Aegis Network has expanded its global media investment arm Amplifi into New Zealand.

Richard Pook has been appointed to the newly created role of head of Amplifi and will begin the role on 13 February.
Pook will lead investment and manage local and global media partnerships for the New Zealand group.

Pook joins Dentsu from global adtech company Exponential where he was the EMEA managing director and VP of finance in Switzerland.

He brings years of digital media experience on client side (British Telecom, Optus and Telstra) and media owners (Yahoo).

Dentsu Aegis Network New Zealand CEO Robert Harvey said: “I’m confident that the roll-out of Amplifi in New Zealand, combined with Richard’s unique combination of commercial and digital experience, will truly set us apart from legacy trading models and deliver a demonstrable uplift in media innovation and performance for our clients.”

iProspect sets up consultancy

Dentsu's digital agency iProspect has launched a new consulting division, Consult, that provides consultancy on marketing technology, experience and audience activation.

iProspect head of data ANZ Ollie Fifoot will lead the division and bring in data, technology and digital marketing specialists on a needs basis.

Consult’s objective is to help clients navigate the complex world of data and technology and it’s increasing significance in marketing, from defining and compiling multiple sources to making operational and personnel recommendations.

“Clients are increasingly coming to us as their trusted advisor on matters that lie outside of our traditional role as a paid media agency,” iProspect ANZ CEO Dan Kalinski said.

“It made sense to launch Consult as an avenue to help clients get the most out of the huge amounts of data they are creating, not only within their marketing campaigns but within their organisations – all of which brings cultural and logistical challenges.”
