Mi9 sales director Mason Rook is taking on the newly created commercial director role at Daily Mail Australia.

Rook, who currently leads Mi9 Media's sales arm, will lead Daily Mail's sales strategy, commercialisation and sales approach.

He will continue to work closely with stablemate Mi9 and take on the new role in mid-May.

Peter Holder, managing director of Daily Mail Australia, said: “[Mason's] digital expertise and knowledge of the Australian market is a real asset for us. We look forward to him leading our commercial charge as the fastest growing media business in the country.”

Emma-Jayne Owens, national sales director of Mi9 said: “Mason’s appointment signals our continued investment in the right talent and comes at a significant point in the evolution of the Daily Mail brand in the Australian market. He has been a passionate senior leader for the Mi9 team and his successful track record for creating market leading digital solutions for clients will continue in his new role, and strengthen Nine Entertainment Co.’s already expansive portfolio.”
