Cummins&Partners continues to bolster its media offering, hiring former Ikon Communications client service director and Myer account lead Lisa Mier.

Mier will lead the recently won $8 million Jenny Craig account, which the agency picked up following an "extensive competitive pitch process", replacing the incumbent Media Partners.

Her career has spanned more than 20 years in Melbourne with experience leading major accounts such as Austereo (now Southern Cross Austereo) and Officeworks, in previous client leadership roles at OMD and Initiative.

Cummins&Partners has been ramping up its efforts within media, with agency CEO Chris Jeffares previously telling AdNews the win is recognition for its "continued focus and investment in building a unique model and capability”.

Along with Mier, the Cummins&Partners media team have added two additional hires. Amelia Choy and Callum Was have also joined the media team, as a sign of the head count increasing significantly over the next 12 months.

“Recent business growth has created a fantastic opportunity to bring in class leading talent. Having worked together in previous roles Lisa was at the top of the list when we went to market to find senior leadership," Cummins&Partners head of media Paul Murphy said.

"Lisa is analytically minded, brings strong market relationships and has a passion for fostering and growing talent. We are very proud to welcome her to our team."

Murphy was hired as its head of media in May last year, joining from Carlton United Breweries after the agency tripled its media clients over the last six months.

"The independent agency space is a hotbed of innovation in the industry and the place I want to influence over the next phase of my career," Mier said.

"The ability to bring channel and creative thinking together delivers speed and agility, that when coupled with the flexibility and transparency of an independent is a truly potent recipe for clients."
