Cummins&Partners has hired R/GA managing director - client services, Rebecca Bezzina, as managing director for its Sydney office.

The agency opened its Sydney shop this year off the back of winning the Vodafone creative account and Bezzina will be tasked with managing the overall growth of the office, shaping the long-term strategic roadmap and developing new business.

Cummins&Partners CEO Chris Jeffares said: "Rebecca is a true modern marketer and her depth of experience across brand, loyalty, digital and data-driven communications is unique. We had a very tight brief for the sort of leader we wanted to join us, and Becs fits perfectly,” he said.

“She is passionate, driven and has an insatiable drive to help shape the industry, with C&P as a standout leader”.

The executive hire follows on from the appointment of joint ECDs Julian Schreiber and Tom Martin, who returned from New York to take up partner roles.

Bezzina said: "I am incredibly excited to be joining Cummins&Partners. Two things really stood out for me. Firstly, their powerhouse executive team in CJ, Tom, Jules, Kirsty and Adam. Secondly, they have a really progressive model as a creative: media agency in an industry where clients have a growing need for non-traditional, progressive thinking and innovation,” she said.

"I look forward to helping lead this change both internally and for our clients, with Vodafone being an amazing opportunity due to their leading position in technology, customer engagement, mobile and mobility. It’s really the sweet spot."

Prior to R/GA, Bezzina served as group head at M&C Saatchi, leading the Commonwealth Bank account, with previous experience across Google, Nestle, with Effie gold-winning work for Qantas.
