CHE Proximity is encouraging Australia’s best young talent to crack a beer and a brief to win one of five paid internships in their Sydney and Melbourne, with the launch of Intern Beer.

Intern Beer is a beer and brief combo designed to take the search for talent to where ideal candidates spend time – the bar.

Designed by the previous generation of CHE Proximity interns and brewed with Barollsa Valley Brewing, the cans contain a unique brief.

Creative hopefuls simply grab a beer, check out the brief on the can and send their best work into the agency, from a song to print ad.

“More than ever, we’re finding that people with unconventional backgrounds – whether they’re journalists or data scientists – helps us deliver better work and think in new ways,” CHE Proximity chief operating officer Andrew Drougas says.

“We’ve made thousands of cans that will be available for free at CHEP offices between 9.00am and 6.00pm and at Intern Beer events.

“The brief has been developed in conjunction with all of our departments to ensure we’re getting people who can approach problems in creative ways, while ensuring commercial return.”

CHE Proximity will also be hosting Intern Beer events in both Sydney and Melbourne over the next couple of months, as well as popping up at industry and university events all through the year.

"We like to do things differently and be innovative. It's a wanky thing to say because every agency says it, but this is an example of us putting our money where our mouth is," Drougas says.
