Colenso BBDO Auckland beats Aussie agencies in ranking report

Colenso BBDO Auckland has taken the top spot for agencies across Australia and New Zealand, according to the WARC Ranking 2019 report.

The report names the nations’ best campaigns and best performing agencies and brands across creativity, effectiveness and media excellence.

WARC Rankings tracks the results of the most prestigious and rigorous creative, effectiveness and media award shows in the world to provide a global and “independent” benchmark of marketing success.

This year Colenso BBDO Auckland was named the best agency, receiving a total score of 251.8 followed by Host/Havas and BWM Dentsu Sydney with 288.3 and 211.8, respectively.

In the best campaigns for media, Beer Bottle Sand by PHD Auckland was on top, followed by The Wentworth Rat by Mindshare Sydney and Dundee by UM New York and UM Sydney, which took home AdNews Media Campaign of the Year Award this month.

Overall, the top advertiser was Mars, with a score of 289.7, followed by the Palau Legacy Project and The ALS Association.

The Palau Pledge also won best campaign for creativity, followed by Project Revoice by The ALS Association, which was created by BWM Dentsu Sydney. In third and fourth place was Pedigree’s SelfieSTIX and The Child Replacement by Colenso BBDO Auckland.
