Cooney will be joined by Alice Mascia will head the new product and strategy group created as part of the shakeup.

The statement reads: "CMO Andy Lark is leaving Foxtel after joining in January to oversee the roll out of its 4K channel and Fox Cricket".

Foxtel chief executive officer Patrick Delany says, “I would like to thank Andy for helping shape the company's future direction. We asked him to do a specific job for us and I am grateful for the major role he played at such a critical time."

Also part of the realignment is the creation of a chief revenue officer role which will be filled by Marco Miranda who is currently a senior executive at Foxtel.
