Carat has won the media buying and planning account of Nova Entertainment following a competitive pitch, AdNews can reveal.

The account previously sat with UM, but went to market after the IPG Mediabrands agency won the global Spotify business in July.

The account is worth about $6 million and provides the agency with another radio network client after Southern Cross Austereo left Carat to join Maxus (now Wavemaker) in May.

Nova Entertainment recently three awards for radio sales reps of the year at last week's Media I awards and was the sales team of the year in Victoria across all media channels. Nova Entertainment also picked up bronze at the MFA Awards for media partner of the year.

Carat recently retained the $40 million L'Oreal media account in another competitive pitch.

Nova Entertainment and Carat both declined AdNews' request for comment.
