Carat has been appointed media agency of Australia’s largest lighting retailer Beacon Lighting, following a competitive pitch.

Beacon Lighting, which was previously with OMD, has billings in excess of $10 million.

The account will be led out of Carat’s Melbourne office, with managing director Joseph Pardillo describing the win as an ‘exciting and proud’ moment for the agency.

“It’s fantastic to be partnering with an iconic brand of Beacon’s calibre,” Pardillo adds. “They have a longstanding relationship with Australian consumers, one we look forward to helping develop further in this new digital retail economy.”

Beacon Lighting marketing director Prue Robinson says: "We felt great chemistry with the Carat team – their passion for working with our brand was obvious from the start. We look forward to exploring new ideas together to further enhance the Beacon brand."

Beacon’s full scope of responsibilities will transition to Carat over the coming months.
