Carat Melbourne trading director, Paul Wilkinson, has been promoted to the newly created role of head of commercial and investment.

Wilkinson will work closely with internal client leads to optimise business and commercial value for clients. He will continue to lead the negotiation and investment strategies of Carat Melbourne’s more than $400 million annual media spend.

“Paul’s expanded role will be vital in helping steer our clients’ media and marketing efforts in today’s fast-paced digital economy, beyond just finding the cheapest media rate," Carat Melbourne MD Joseph Pardillo says.

"He is there to provide an impartial view on opportunities to drive more holistic business ROI, centered on new technology, innovation, and business strategy.”

Wilkinson says: “I’ve been with Carat Melbourne for almost eight years and we’ve obviously experienced significant growth and change during that time.

"I’m really excited to help further evolve our commercial offering for clients and mobilise the agency toward our Digital 2020 vision. This is an important challenging time for our clients; it’s critical for us to adapt our leadership accordingly.”
