Cancer Council NSW has awarded Circul8 the task of launching a print and social media driven online campaign.

The competitive pitch for the seven-month contract involved two other undisclosed agencies. Circul8 will work on a print and digital campaign for the Community Fundraising division of the charity, with an emphasis on social media.

Cancer Council NSW manager, marketing services unit Sarah McCarthy told AdNews that while Circul8 has been appointed on a project basis, she believes it's the beginning of a long-term relationship with the agency.

The campaign will aim to grow and retain the not-for-profit organisation's supporters and launch by the end of February.

Phase one of the campaign will be online and social media based, with print work to be introduced in phase two.

Cancer Council NSW Community Events Fundraising manager - Do Your Thing, Julie Roberts said: "We were looking for a fresh approach to attract people who were interested in fundraising to our site.

"Circul8 impressed us because of their creative strategy which is both innovative and dynamic for the category. They have also delivered highly successful past campaigns on a small budget which is a constant challenge in the not-for-profit sector."

Circul8 managing director Alana Stocks said: "To work with Cancer Council NSW is a wonderful opportunity to build on our expertise delivering campaigns primarily within the not-for-profit and tourism sectors."
