BWM Denstu has hired DDB Melbourne executive creative director Simon Bagnasco to head up its creative department as ECD.

Bagnasco had been at DDB for the past four years, working on campaigns which include the highly popular Devondale work.

He previously worked at other high profile creative shops including Publicis Mojo, GPY&R and Clemenger BBDO.

BWM chief creative officer Rob Belgiovane says Simon’s new role will see him lead the creative department of BWM Dentsu Melbourne and work alongside Sydney ECD Asheen Naidu on national projects.

“His experience and creative talent make him the perfect candidate to lead the Melbourne creative team as well as drive the agency’s mission to transform clients’ businesses and brands with ideas that get Australians talking,” Belgiovane says.

Bagnasco will join the agency at the end of May.
