Twitter has handled its media account to independent agency Bohemia, AdNews understands.

The fight for the Twitter media account was first revealed in April, with a shortlist of UM, Bohmeia, Carat, and OMD firmed up.

UM pulled out of the running for the account in the early stages.

All agencies declined to comment, with Twitter also declining to comment.

Twitter is also due to appoint a creative agency.

Earlier this month, AdNews revealed that Twitter was looking for a head of consumer marketing, with the role to report into the global consumer marketing team in San Francisco.

AdNews can also confirm that Twitter is on the lookout for a head of growth and a brand strategist, further signalling its intentions in the Australian market.
