Matt Gray has been promoted to head of marketing for Bega Foods.

Gray previously led marketing for the group's iconic Australian brand Vegemite as senior marketing manager.

During his time with Vegemite, Gray appointed Thinkerbell as the brand's creative agency of record and together they launched the Tastes Like Australia brand platform.

Thinkerbell has since also picked up media duties for the whole Bega portfolio.

He joined the business in 2017 after nearly five years working at fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) giant Mondelez International.

At Mondelez, he worked in a number of roles including category revenue manager for the dairy portfolio and brand manager for the grocery, private label and food service categories.

He has also previously worked at KraftHeinz and Cadbury Schweppes.

Bega Foods has also promoted Julia Glass to head of strategy, insights and innovation.

She moves into the role from consumer insights and innovation, where she led this function for Bega Foods.

Bega Foods executive general manager Adam McNamara says the company was "delighted" to welcome them both into their new roles.
