BankWest enlists staff for Happy Banking TVC

SYDNEY: BankWest staff will appear in the latest instalment of its “Happy Banking” TV campaign, which launches this Sunday.

The campaign, created by Host, will feature actual BankWest staff members and promotes the bank’s new products including its rate-cutter home loan and kid’s bonus saver account.

The ads feature the staff members interacting with the “happiness expert” fictional characters from previous commercials, including the teddy bear, the sunflower, the toy dog and the squirrel.

The campaign positions BankWest’s services against the big four banks, with the “happiness experts” imparting pearls of wisdom to staff, which are applied to everyday working situations.

BankWest recruited four staff members to star in the ads through an internal competition held earlier in the year called “BankWest’s got talent”, which attracted 141 hopefuls.
