Bachelorette boosts viewer numbers; takes most watched program

Network Ten's premiere series of The Bachelorette has picked up viewers since its launch episode on Wednesday, with 973,000 metro viewers tuning in, according to overnight OzTam figures.

The second episode, which saw bachelorette Sam Frost send international model David Witko packing, was the top most watched show of the night and also the most watched program by demographic in the 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 age brackets.

It over took its Wednesday launch episode which picked up 875,000 metro viewers and was the eighth most watched show of the night.

Seven singing reality show X Factor continued its strong ratings run with 876,000 metro viewers as the sixth most watched show of the night and the second most watched non-news program.

Nine Network's RBT pulled in 678,000 viewers and was the 10th most watched show of the night while The Project 7pm on Ten picked up 674,000 viewers and was the 11th most watched show of the night.

Network Seven won the night with 28.0% audience share followed by Nine on 26.4% audience share. Network Ten picked up 23.6% audience share, ABC 16.0% and SBS on 6.1% audience share.
