Australia wins metal in Film, Film Craft, Integrated

Bonds Boys, Deng Adut, Volkswagen and Sea Shepherd have all picked up Lions in the Film, Film Craft and Integrated categories at the Cannes Lions.

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s “The Boys” campaign for Bonds had a sweep in the film categories, winning four Silver Lions and a Bronze in Film, and three Bronze Lions in Film Craft. The campaign also won Australia’s only Lion in Integrated, picking up a silver trophy.

We Collective and Finch also had a win in the Film category picking up a Silver Lion for its work with Western Sydney University, telling the story of refugee lawyer Deng Adut. DDB Sydney won metal in the Film category, with a Bronze Lion for “The Tough Sell” for Volkswagen Australia.

The grand prix in Film went to Adam&EveDDB London for its “Shoplifters” campaign for Harvey Nichols.

In Film Craft, Sea Shepherd’s “Anti-Whaling” campaign by The Works also picked up a Bronze Lion in the category.

The grand prix in Film Craft went to Droga5 New York for its Under Armour campaign starring Michael Phelps.

Australia didn’t win any metal in the Titanium Lions, but New Zealand picked up two, with Colenso BBDO Auckland’s campaign for DB Export, “Brewtroleum” and Y&R New Zealand’s “McWhopper” campaign both winning Lions.

The grand prix in the category went to Venables Bell & Partners for its “#OptOutsdie” work for Rei.

In Integrated, the grand prix went to BBH New York for its “House of Cards” campaign for Netflix.
