Australia Post switches agencies

Australia Post has confirmed it has switched its media account from UM Melbourne to Mitchell & Partners as the brand eyes synergy with Australian Government buying.

Australia Post confirmed to AdNews that the account had moved without a pitch to Mitchell & Partners, which also holds the account for the Australian Government.

Mitchell & Partners won the $137 million account from UM in April following a pitch, and it is believed the requirements of Australian Post were not discussed during the pitch.

While Australia Post is moving to Mitchell & Partners, internet provider NBN Co was retained by UM after a competitve pitch which included Mitchell & Partners.

Australia Post is believed to have spent about $8 million in main media last year.
