EXCLUSIVE: Australia Post has consolidated its agency roster and appointed two new partners as the 200-year-old brand attempts to turn around its declining fortunes in the digital age.

Ogilvy Melbourne has retained the creative business, while the governmentowned service has appointed Clemenger BBDO Melbourne to its direct marketing account. Amnesia Razorfish has also been appointed on a project basis to handle digital duties.

Australia Post confirmed the move to AdNews and said it would be working with its other agencies in a “reduced capacity”. The sharp reduction in work with pre-existing agencies affects Grey Melbourne, Publicis Mojo Sydney, MercerBell, Cubed Communications and Zebra Direction.

The changes represent a slimmed-down roster after general manager, marketing and customer experience, John Moore, ditched Australia Post’s focus on state-by-state marketing activities.
