Media strategy consultancy and technology business Audience Precision has appointed senior strategy consultant Lisa Vorster as head of insights.

Vorster has more than 15 years’ experience as a marketing strategist, specialising in brand planning integration, client service, and communication channel strategy development.

She has worked with many brands across a range of industries, including retail, alcohol, automotive, FMCG, telecommunications, education, finance, and entertainment, such as Unilever, BMW, Virgin Mobile, AB InBev, Medicover, Colgate, Xerox and Vets Choice.

Vorster joins Audience Precision from consultancy roles at Mentor Marketing and Carat Perth.

She has also worked as the lead strategist at Initiative Media Johannesburg, channel strategy lead for Mindshare in Johannesburg and channel strategy director at Notabene.

Audience Precision CEO Haydon Bray says Vorster will be responsible for leading the consultancy’s insights projects.

“Lisa comes to Audience Precision with a drive for data-inspired media strategy and developing consumer-driven and brand-led communications solutions on a global scale,” Bray says.

“She is a creative, strategic thinker, who is authentic in her work and completely committed to innovation and collaboration – she’s the perfect person to head up our Insights division.”

Vorster says she is looking forward to joining the Audience Precision team.

“I am both inspired and excited to be joining and working with such a dynamic and forward- thinking team of talented individuals, across iconic and global brands,” Vorster says.

“It’s a challenging time for consumers and brands and it’s encouraging to see the success and potential of Audience Precision’s impressive proprietary tools in understanding how best to drive and deliver that connection.”

Vorster’s appointment follows Audience Precision’s recent appointment to the iconic RM Williams account.

Audience Precision launched with foundation client Warner Music and clients in the entertainment, retail, health, tourism, media and other sectors.

The consultancy has already established offices in New York and London, with further global expansion to come.

Vorster joins Bray, Samantha Bolton as managing partner USA and UK, Laura Newman as global head of research, Alison Coleman as chief financial officer, Sean Gerraty as head of operations, John La Rosa as head of business development, Josh Sharp as chief strategy architect and Jeremy Cath as chief technology officer.

The broader team includes strategy architects, researchers, masters-level data scientists, campaign engineers, software developers and media buyers.
