Atomic 212 has launched a social insight division with an eighteen-year-old student as part of the management team.

Ex-Quicksilver marketing manager Pete Brennan is running the Pulse212 unit with student Clementine Robertson hired as a fully salaried youth insight manager. Robertson is an award winning young marketeer who is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney, majoring in marketing and commercial law.

Brennan, nick named 'the professor', consulted to some of the UK’s largest brands such Adidas, Ford, Sony PlayStation and TopShop.

Recent insight groups include Dick Smith, NIB and ThinkGroup, as well as David Jones, which gave the group a wrap.

“Having experienced first hand the rigour that Pete and the team at Pulse 212 apply to their social insight process, it is clear to see how insights with currency, insights that are extracted uniquely to address specific current marketing needs, are of tremendous advantage to brands like David Jones,” said David Jones assistant buyer Sare Donnan.

The behavioural research and observation unit covers all categories but focuses particularly on youth retail and automotive.
