Andrea Ingham has resigned from Southern Cross Austereo just days after new sales boss Brian Gallagher joined the radio network.

Ingham, who has been sales director of the radio network for the past two and a half years and before that spent five years with Southern Cross, resigned on Friday, effective immediately.

She told AdNews this morning that there are no hard feelings and the split was amicable.

“I wish the whole team there well, and they have a great year ahead, but it was just time for me to move on,” she said.

She has no role to go to but said that she feels “excited about the opportunities out there” and is eyeing a role with more digital capacity.

Her departure comes as Brian Gallagher steps into the newly created chief sales officer role. Gallagher was appointed by Grant Blackley, SCA's recently appointed CEO.

It's understood that there are a raft of changes afoot at SCA under the new management. Blackley and Gallagher worked together in previous roles at Network Ten.

It's not known whether SCA will look to fill the role directly but the team also has a number of other roles vacant, including Carla Vella's Sydney sales director role. It has been open since June when she left to join Network Ten as a sales director for Sydney.

Last week AdNews also revealed that head of digital sales James Bayes, left to join tech startup Unlockd.
