The Australian Marketing Institute has named a new board, following the appointment of a new CEO earlier this month. Only one is a marketing director.

The new directors, who were elected by AMI members and will take up their positions on 23 October.

A recent constitutional change at the membership body gave members a voice in how the AMI is led and the direction it will take.

"There was strong interest from our members, with 46 candidates nominating for a place on the Board," said Lee Tonitto, who was recently appointed to lead the organisation.

"We are grateful for the vast array of experience and capabilities being offered to the AMI and the high level of engagement demonstrated by our members."

The directors are:
Kathy Hatzis - head of marketing, consumer lending, Citibank
Darren Woolley - managing director, TrinityP3 Marketing and Management Consultants
Damian Anderson - managing director and chief digital officer, Acceleration Group
Mahesh Enjeti - managing director, SAI Marketing Counsel
Graham Wright - principal, Graham Wright Consulting
Chris Mooney - managing director, Marketing Insights
