Advertising and media agency Affinity has added Panasonic and Birch & Waite to its client roster. It's also made a spate of new hires following sustained growth.

The Sydney-based independent picked up the account of premium sauce brand Birch & Waite to handle strategy, creative and media cross both its retail and professional division, following a competitive pitch which included incumbents STW- owned Evo and The Armoury. The first work for the brand is due in October.

In addition, Japanese electronics giant Panasonic has added the agency to its roster.

Brich & Waite GM David Charles said: “Affinity used their tech and data skills to prove that they really understood our business challenges and could deliver our consumer on the path to purchase. But they also backed this up with some category breaking creative – a great mix really.”

As a result of the wins. Affinity has made a spate of hires in its media, business management and data teams

Affinity CEO Luke Brown said the agency is thrilled with the new business.

“It's off the back of momentum we've been building over the last year by setting up a leadership team right with a diverse range of skills across data, tech, strategy and creative,” Brown said.

“It's an offering that's definitely gaining traction for us so much so we're goring and hiring for five new roles at the moment.”
