Fintech home loan marketplace Joust has appointed independent agency AFFINITY as its full-service strategic, branding, creative, media, CRM and performance partner.

AFFINITY won the competitive pitch based on the agency’s "unique" model that combines creativity, science and technology to deliver measurable business results, combined with an in-depth knowledge of the financial home loan market.

Joust CEO and former Bauer Media digital boss Carl Hammerschmidt says the agency was "clearly the front-runner" with its data-driven and strategic approach.

“AFFINITY is a partner who understands where we are in our business life cycle and they have a clear picture of how to effectively help us scale our business," Hammerschmidt says.

"We look forward to AFFINITY delivering on all the essential customer journey touch points from strategy through to execution and measurement, and most importantly, demonstrating effectiveness every step of the way.”

Joust is a digital home loan reverse-bid auction marketplace where the lenders bid for the borrower’s business founded in 2016 by Mark Bevan and co-founders and ex-bank colleagues, Richard Hockney and Greg Abel.

AFFINITY CEO Luke Brown says the win is both an exciting remit and brand to work for.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with a category disruptor and an exciting fintech business," Brown says.

"The sky’s the limit to take an emerging brand and transform it into a household name.”

The Joust win continues the agency’s strong momentum with its recent Fisher & Paykel win and being named WARC Global Index most effective digital agency in Australia for three consecutive years.
