AdNews Podcast: Havas Media CEO Mike Wilson and The Works creative partner Paul Swann

By AdNews | 27 January 2016

Welcome to our second AdNews Podcast - which was quickly renamed the AdNews Pubcast, in light of the industry's penchant for a sociable drop and a good old natter.

From Coke's big global push, the controversial MLA advert, marketing budgets and the validity of awards shows, this week's AdNews Pubcast sees editor Rose Baker and online editor Pippa Chambers sit down and have a tipple with the CEO of Havas Media Australia, Mike Wilson, and creative parter at The Works, Paul Swann.

With the cider and beer flowing, the industry hotshots discuss “catching hearts and minds” with a global ad strategy, the risk factor and welcomed resurgence of “big integrated ideas” - such as the MLA ad. We also dive into Unilever's zero-based marketing budget strategy.

From their days working together at Naked Communications to “emotional piano piece cliché” campaigns - just hit play and soak up the musings and insights of these two well-known adland figures.
