By AdNews | 26 February 2015

Instagram brand development Sophie Blachford spent 60-seconds with AdNews, talking about Seinfeld, her hot sauce obsession and why she loves her job. Read her answers below.

My favourite restaurant for a business lunch is:

House of Crabs at the Norfolk in Surry Hills. Doesn’t take itself too seriously, lots of fun, delicious and a total messy bonding experience where no one can play on their phones so everyone stops working.

My favourite ad is:

At the moment, Qantas’s ‘Feels like Home’ campaign is still making me a bit teary every time I see it. Takes me right back to the 4 years I spent living away from Australia and has a great song too.

My must-have gadget is:

iPhone – for work and play.

My favourite media is:

Instagram! On a personal level, Instagram is a platform all about inspiration and creativity and allows me to curate my own experience and connect with the things I’m most passionate about. For brands it’s an incredibly unique blend we haven’t seen the likes of before that is an intersect of technology, commerce and art.

My favourite TV show is:

Seinfeld. Still relevant today in so many ways.

The last book I read:

Yes Please by Amy Poehler

My mantra / philosophy is:

You don’t win friends with salad.

I got into advertising because:

I didn’t get accepted into law. What a blessing!

If I wasn't doing this for a living, I'd be:

Trying to take my Hot Sauce obsession to the next level by having my currently unnamed home made sauce become the next Tabasco.

In five years' time I'll be:

Still bad at making long term plans.

Tell us a joke:

What did the cheese say to itself in the mirror? Halloumi. (You just can’t go past a good cheese or cheese pun!).

Define your job in one word:

Filtered.

What's your poison?:

a Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough.

What animal are you most like?:

Grumpy Cat.
