303 MullenLowe has promoted Joanna Gray to managing director of its Sydney office.

Gray joined the agency last year as managing partner, bringing more than 15 years' experience with her.

She began her career in New Zealand working agencies including with Colenso BBDO and Mojo.

Gray relocated Australia in 2011 where she joined Host Sydney for three years, followed by The Works where she was head of client service, before being promoted to general manager.

“Jo has done an amazing job in her time with us. She is a natural leader who applies a huge amount of energy and intelligence into everything she does," MullenLowe CEO Nick Cleaver says.

"Her optimism and “can do” attitude has earned the respect of our people and our clients. She is also incredibly passionate about the work we output and the people in the agency."

Gray says she is looking forward to helping "evolve" the agency's business offering.

"I am obviously delighted with this change and the opportunity it presents to continue to evolve our business offering,” commented Gray.

"303 MullenLowe have built a unique hyperbundled model which is continuing to prove the power of combining creative, media, tech, digital, CX , social and PR skill sets.”

This is the latest hire for the agency, with Michael Corry appointed as head of digital strategy last month, adding to its growing media division, Mediahub.
