Duties and Responsibilities:

* Operation of Apple Macintosh to create artwork at the highest standard

* Support functions as necessary to internal studio operation such as mounting of layouts/art, filing etc.

* Delegate jobs through staff in Studio through Production to achieve best results and speed.

* Ordering from suppliers of studio materials as required, at all times building excellent relationships with such suppliers, in particular those involved in studio.

* Train staff about technical procedures and operations to ensure correct file management and optimal speed.

* Build and consolidate an awareness of Sapientnitro clients’ businesses and method of operation.

* Record time expended on all projects and ensures this data is readily available to Sapientnitro enabling efficient billing hours worked (completion of time sheets).

* Work with Production to ensure that work is being completed and trafficked in the best possible manner.

* Liaising with Melbourne’s/Brisbane production managers.

* Oversee all artwork produced by the studio and ensure quality is up to the highest standard.

* Quality control of all items produced (laser print-outs, discs sent to suppliers etc) and absolute accountability for these items and use of approval stamp on all final artwork proofs.

* Effective time management and accordingly, accurate estimation of time required for work undertaken.

* Increased levels of knowledge and speed of operation of frequently used software programs.

* Ensure that Studio staff are being pro-active in their ability to learn new software and perfect existing packages.

* Design initiative and pro-active input into artwork where relevant.

* Operate a tidy and smooth operating office environment including regular and efficient filing/archiving.

* Build and demonstrate excellent working relationships with all contacts: Sapientnitro staff, suppliers, clients (where relevant).

* Exercise efficient management of all Sapientnitro studio system.

* Have solid knowledge of print production principles and knowledge of Quick Cut/Page Store dispatch application.

* Solid knowledge of retouching an advantage
