Allegiant Media has become the exclusive partner for RhythmOne's (R1) services across Australia and New Zealand as R1 extracts itself from the market.

Allegiant Media is the newly created customer facing arm of US-founded Allegiant Technology.

Sydney-based Luke Bussell, who had been heading up R1 locally, has become the MD of Allegiant Media.

R1 confirmed to AdNews that its APAC headquarters will now be centrally located in Singapore and that Allegiant Media will continue to support and grow all partnerships.

The move echoes that of ComScore  last year which withdraw directly from the market and instead handed its product to resellers.

After arriving in the market and acquiring RadiumOne in June last year, R1's arrival saw the departure of global president Kerry McCabe at the same time, followed by the exit of marketing boss Jodie Koning. In December AdNews revealed APAC MD Adam Furness was also set to leave.

“I’m excited to be able to continue my association with RhythmOne Australia and New Zealand,” Bussell said.

“Our customer facing sales and account management team will continue to deliver great service to our clients across ANZ from our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

“Our trading and technical team continue to service ANZ from Rhythm One’s Singapore – APAC HQ and I'm pleased to welcome Adrian Kos as our head of sales and partnerships.”

Kos, who will be based in the Melbourne office, brings experience from his time at Turn, and most recently Oracle Blue Kai.

Chris Parker, managing director of Allegiant Technology, said: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by RhythmOne to continue their great work across ANZ and have worked hard to ensure that our systems and processes are where they need to be to ensure an uninterrupted service for current and future clients and seamless integration of RhythmOne’s proprietary tools and tech across partner sites.”

Bussell adds that RhythmOne's product set continues to evolve, and it looks forward to bringing its connected TV solution to this market in the coming weeks.
