News Corp Australia has promoted Nicole Waudby to general manager of sales for The Australian and Prestige Titles.

Waudby, currently national sales and strategy director for prestige, replaces Andrew Cook who recently joined Bauer Media as its director of sales.

“Nicole is an extremely experienced leader and the obvious choice to spearhead the combined Prestige and The Australian team replacing Andrew Cook,” says News Corp Australia managing director of national sales Lou Barrett.

“I know she will work collaboratively and creatively with national sales and the Newsamp team to provide our clients with best in class, results-driven marketing solutions.”

Waudby has been responsible for sales and strategy for the prestige titles for four and a half years. With 20 years of experience, she has previously worked at Bauer Media and Time UK.

“I am delighted to be taking on a greater leadership role at such an important time in the evolution of the sales operation of The Australian,” Waudby says.

“Steering the commercial success of the prestige titles has been a privilege with many milestones.”
