Nova Entertainment is launching a new podcast with music journalist Tim Blackwell as the company continues its investment in the podcasting space.
Introducing with Tim Blackwell will be produced in partnership with Pro Podcast Production and will see Blackwell, from the Kate, Tim & Joel drive show, chat with Australian artists and bands each week.
Launching November 30, the six-part podcast series will start with local band Yungblud.
“There are so many amazing artists out there and I want this to be a space for them to own, to chat, play some tunes and have a beer and talk about themselves… If the drinks are cold the artists will follow… that’s my plan anyway!” says Blackwell.
“I’m just so excited to be able to talk music with people who are in the game. I was never cool enough to be in a band so this is my sure-fire way to get an access all areas pass and have a reason to be lurking backstage."
In September Nova Entertainment and Acast ended their three-year partnership. At the time, both companies said they will be focusing on growing their own podcast businesses.
