Creative agency Leo Burnett Sydney has announced four senior appointments in newly created roles across the business.

Stuart Capel has been appointed media business director, Phillipa Thomas has joined as PR director, Naomi Martin will take up the role of social media director and Sofia Hlinovsky rounds out the new hires as senior account director.

Pete Bosilkovski, managing director Leo Burnett Sydney, said: “Our new appointments are direct evidence of our ongoing commitment to evolving our business in line with our clients’ changing needs.”

“These new skill sets will not only add greater depth to our strategic and creative product, but will change the way we think about our clients’ problems and the creative solutions we provide. I’m excited about this new chapter for the agency and where it will take us,” he said.

Capel brings 12 years media expertise gained in London and Sydney, the past six as business director at Initiative, where he led the agency’s largest account.

An award-winning PR professional, Thomas has more than 12 years experience, both locally and internationally, with a breadth of skills that extends to leading major global brand accounts, crisis management and launching a new global business in India.

Martin is a social content specialist who has driven social media content strategy and creation for leading FMCG brands in roles as social content director, social content manager and community manager at AMV BBDO.

Hlinovsky has core experience in leading global brands, from strategy and creative concept through to production, and has worked in senior account director and manager roles at Y&R, M&C Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather across a range of sectors including finance, fashion, consumer electronics and telcos.

“I am excited to welcome Stuart, Phillipa, Naomi and Sofia – they are all exceptional talents and are among the industry’s best. Having hit the ground running, each is already applying their considerable skills to make an immediate impact on our agency and our clients,” Bosilkovski said.
