Host has further cemented its relationship with Quick Service Restaurant Holdings (QSR) with the addition of Oporto and Chicken Treat.

Host initially won QSR's Red Rooster account, which was with Naked Communications, without a pitch at the end of last year.

The new accounts meant Host had to resign creative duties for Pizza Hut due to the conflict with QSR. The account has now been picked up by The Monkeys.

Host MD Laura Aldington says: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with QSR Holdings and are excited by what lies ahead for all three brands."

AdNews understands The Monkeys are one of a number of agencies that are likely to be appointed to Pizza Hut, including a new digital agency and a consumer PR agency.

The move comes as Allegro Funds has teamed up with the local Pizza Hut management team to buy the master franchise from US parent Yum! Brands and has recently completed the acquisition of the Eagle Boys chain.

The Monkeys CEO Mark Green says the agency is looking forward to challenging Domino's for its leading position.

"Pizza Hut is a brand we have all grown up with and we are looking forward to helping the local team transform Pizza Hut into a much stronger rival to market leader Domino’s," he says.

Pizza Hut Australia CEO Lisa Ransom adds: "We are delighted to appoint The Monkeys as our lead agency. They showed a great strategic opportunity for Pizza Hut in Australia coupled with a great creative approach."

It is anticipated The Monkeys will lead a rebrand for Pizza Hut in coming weeks.

At the end of last year Mindshare won the QSR media account from Bohemia.
