MediaCom's chief strategy officer Mike Deane is exiting the agency after seven years.

Deane joined the agency in 2012, after moving across from MediaCom's UK officer and has risen up the ranks over the course of his time with the WPP-owned business.

MediaCom AUNZ CEO Willie Pang thanked Deane and wished "him nothing but the best" as he pursues his next venture. Deane is exiting the business to launch his own consultancy.

“During Mike’s nine year tenure at MediaCom across a number of markets including London, Sydney and Melbourne, he has made a significant impact on developing and implementing strategy for our clients," Pang says.

"Mike’s commitment, drive and passion for MediaCom, his team and clients has been exemplary. To continue the momentum that Mike has participated in building, we are doubling down on our investments in product and strategy leadership, with a particular focus on helping clients to apply marketing science and technology to create growth."

WPP has had a series of high profile exits over the past six months, including executives from VMLY&R, Wunderman Thompson, Wavemaker's Team Red and MediaCom.
