FremantleMedia Enterprises' Asia Pacific chief executive Jon Penn will become BBC Worldwide Australasia managing director in April, while BBC Australasia interim general manager Blair McQuade will transition to chief commercial officer.
Penn, who has been FremantleMedia Enterprises' chief executive officer since 2009, will become the BBC Worldwide Australasia managing director in April this year. He succeeds former general manager Tony Iffland.
Penn's responsibilities will include managing the region's profits and losses under the company's new balanced regionalisation plans, which aims to boost revenue in the next five years. Penn will report to BBC Worldwide's UK and Australasia president Marcus Arthur, who is based in London.
The coming months will also see the company's interim general manager Blair McQuade step up to the new role of Australasia chief commercial officer. The position will see McQuade support Penn and take ownership of its commercial activities.

I know he’s the right person to lead BBC Worldwide Australasia on to bigger and even better things as the region takes charge of its own P&L for the first time.”

I have nothing but admiration for the business and I look forward to building upon the huge success already achieved by its talented workforce and building upon Blair’s brilliant leadership since Tony Iffland departed.”
