Richard Edelman predicts that business in the future will be less about classic media management and more about designing “creative news rooms” to allow for clients to disseminate their own content. He said ad agencies as well as publishers were in his sights.

Fairfax and Ten courting?
Fairfax Media dating site RSVP is rumoured to have struck a deal with Ten backed dating site Oasis Active ahead of a trade sale or float of the enlarged business on the stock market.

Ten will seek to do deals
Network Ten's CEO Hamish McLennan said there is value in a potential merger but would not be drawn on Ten's potential partnership Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation the AFR reports.

Again in the AFR, former Seven West Media boss David Leckie is expected to sign a new contract which would prevent the veteran executive finishing his career at a rival network.
