TV cash boost
ABC and SBS will receive more
government funding over the next three years. ABC will receive $2.5bn
from the next financial year to 2015-16, with around $30 million to
be spent on digital content delivery, mostly weighted towards the
back-end, and $59.4 million on enhanced news. SBS will receive an
extra $30 million, of which a third is to fund local content
acquisition. Taxpayers will also fund an extra $5 million for
community radio.
Honda gets arty
Honda Australia and performing arts
centre, Arts Centre Melbourne, have announced a one-year official
partnership. It will include activations in and around the Arts
Centre venues, in addition to specific activities aligned to key Arts
Centre productions.
Quiip equips with operations director
Online community management and
moderation services firm Quiip has appointed Russell Ward to the
newly created position as operations director. “This appointment
reflects the growing demand for the professional online community
management and moderation services that Quiip delivers,” Quiip CEO
Alison Michalk said.
iFly dives with Pusher
Sydney-based indoor skydiving centre
iFly Downunder has appointed Brisbane shop Pusher as its creative
agency. The account will cover full creative duties, including brand
development, website and e-commerce design and social media strategy.
