44,500 downloads Woolies/The Voice freebie

In partnership with Nine and The Voice, supermarket giant Woolworths offered people a free download of a rendition of John Farnham's 'You're The Voice' performed last night.

More than 44,000 people have taken up the offer in the less than 24 hours since it started. Of course, it's all a great ploy to suck people into the Woolworths website.

Woolworths head of marketing operations Karen Madden said: “Woolworths is committed to providing more value to our customers every day. This offer has already proven popular with our customers and fans of The Voice with more than 44,500 people downloading the track since the finale aired last night.

The free download was promoted on the program last night and also on The Voice's website. It will available for free for at least another 24 hours.
