Cricket Australia and the Commonwealth Bank have strengthened their ties with the bank to become the Test team and Test Series partner for the next four seasons, beginning with this summer’s Ashes. CommBank will keep sponsoring the all-conquering Southern Stars women’s team too.

Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland said: “We have had a wonderful relationship for over 26 years with the Commonwealth Bank and they have partnered with us on ODIs for the past seven seasons. Their support extends right across the sport and deep into cricket. we are absolutely delighted that this rare opportunity has come up to have the Commonwealth Bank come on board as our Test cricket sponsor.”

Commonwealth Bank CEO, Ian Narev said the bank was keenly anticipating the Ashes and broader partnership with the game well beyond summer: “We look forward to being involved with a format of the game which has such a long and proud history. The forthcoming back-to-back Ashes Series will be a particularly exciting time. I wish Michael Clarke, Jodie Fields and their teams every success for their upcoming UK tours and then the home Ashes.”
